There are shortcuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them. -- Vicki Baum The Boeing Employees' Ballroom Dance Club is dedicated to providing quality ballroom dance instruction. Started in the 1970's by 10 Boeing employees, the club has grown to well over 200 members and has now become two separate clubs, one in Everett and one in Kent. Lessons are open to members and sponsored guests. The club's mission is to provide a forum for everyone to be comfortable with social dance by providing various levels of dance instruction. Three levels of instruction are provided: New Student, Intermediate, and Advanced. Ballroom dance rhythms taught include Swing, Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba, and Tango. Most attendees come with dance partners, but if you do not have a dance partner, contact either the president or secretary to register as a single and possibly get connected to a dance partner for the evening. Dance lessons in Kent run from September through April. The format for lessons is multi-week sessions (generally 4 weeks) for each rhythm. |
